On the 10th October 2017, Cuffley Industrial Heritage Society celebrated their 20th anniversary at Northaw Village Hall. It was well attended and one past chairman, John Cullen, and his wife Maureen managed to attend.

Unfortunately our inspirational Honorary Founder President, Denis Smith, could not be with us, because he is in a Care Home in Scotland. In all seven founder members (shown in photo) were present, and apologies for absence were received from two others, Ian White (Past Secretary) and Dave Goodall (Past Treasurer). Wine and nibbles were provided and our guest speaker was John Boxall, who gave an illustrated talk on Cameras and the history of photography.

The Society is open to all, and we are always keen to receive new members or guests at our regular meetings which are held every second Tuesday of the month at Northaw Village Hall. These events are advertised on our website and on the notice board outside the Parish Offices in Cuffley. Our illustrated talks on the Tuesdays are varied, and cover topics such as trades and crafts, transport, manufacturing, utilities, local industrial history, and construction and services. We also arrange local one-day outings to sites of interest, and usually have a three away-day study tour in the spring.
